2008 Race Outlook
This is a priority race for Beverly LaHaye and Concerned Women Political Action Committee. This is an opportunity to put a seasoned conservative in the U.S. Senate. More important than that, take a look at what Steve is up against with Tom Udall and his liberal record:
· Voted against the ban on Partial Birth Abortion – even though most doctors believe this barbaric procedure is unnecessary.
· Voted against the Marriage Protection Act – and failed to defend marriage between one man and one woman.
· Voted in favor of federal funding of Embryonic Stem Cell Research - though there are much more promising results from adult stem cells to cure disease and illnesses.
· Voted in favor of Hate Crimes legislation – even though all crimes are “hate crimes”.
· Voted against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act – and denied that when someone violently attacks a pregnant woman, there are two people who are victimized.
· Voted Against the Ten Commandments and the Pledge Protection Act – simple legislation designed to reaffirm our Godly heritage.
Tom Udall has been endorsed by: Homosexual groups like Human Rights Campaign, pro-abortion groups like NARAL-Pro-Choice, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, and the Washington Women for Choice PAC. He has also been endorsed and taken money from Big labor unions like the United Mine Workers (UMW) and the United Steel Workers Political Action fund which are often way out of step with their members by taking the wrong stand on issues like abortion, same-sex marriage and other social issues.
