Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses State Senator Alan Nunnelee for Congress in Mississippi’s 1^st Congressional District

Senator Nunnelee is a proven pro-life legislator in Mississippi who will be a conservative leader in Congress.

Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) has announced its endorsement of Alan Nunnelee for Congress in Mississippi’s 1^st Congressional District.

Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by founder and chairman Mrs. Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.

The current representative from Mississippi’s 1^st district is Congressman Travis Childers who will be seeking his second term in 2010.

This race is considered a toss up by both the Rothenberg Report and the Cook Political Report.  In last year’s presidential contest Arizona Senator and Republican Presidential nominee John McCain carried the district by 62 percent.  Despite the Republican tilt of the district, Congressman Childers has chosen to vote with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and the liberal House leadership 82 percent of the time.

“We endorsed Mr. Nunnelee because of his strong conservative legislative record and experience. The leader he has been in the Mississippi legislature he will also be in the United State Congress.”
