Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses Dan Benishek for Congress in MI-01 Election
Dr. Dan Benishek will be a strong pro-life and pro-family advocate for Michigan in Congress.
Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) has announced its endorsement of Dan Benishek for Congress in Michigan’s First District.
Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by Founder and Chairman Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.
Michigan’s First District is an open seat this year, currently held by retiring Congressman Bart Stupak. Rep. Stupak voted against the Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee position fifty-four times. Those votes included the stimulus atrocity and the government control of healthcare; including provisions to allow public funding of abortion, despite his promise not to do so.
Dan Benishek has been a surgeon for thirty years. Dr. Benishek has been Chief of Medical Staff and Chief of Surgery, and on the board of a Michigan hospital. Dr. Benishek believes unborn children have a right to life and government spending should be controlled. Dan and Judy Benishek have been married for 20 years and have five children and two grandchildren.
“Dan Benishek was in this race to win long before Bart Stupak betrayed the pro-life community with his back room deal with the Obama Administration,” says Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women PAC.
“As Congressman, Dr. Benishek won’t use the rights of the unborn as a bargaining chip”.
Penny Nance and Concerned Women Political Action Committee’s mission is to elect solid pro-family, pro-life conservatives to Congress. Concerned Women PAC sends out a monthly letter to members encouraging them to financially support candidates like Dan Benishek.
