Tim Walberg Endorsed

Concerned Women Political Action Committee Endorses Former Congressman Tim Walberg for Congress in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District

Former Representative Tim Walberg is a strong pro-life advocate.

Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) has announced its endorsement of Tim Walberg in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.

Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by Founder and Chairman Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 members nationwide.

The current representative from the 7th Congressional District of Michigan is Mark Schauer. Representative Schauer, who is running for his second term, in 2010 only voted with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee’s position a mere 5 percent of the time

·         Rep.  Schauer voted yes to government control of health care while voting numerous times this year against the removal of federal funding for abortion.

·         Rep. Schauer has also voted in favor of the omnibus bill which included an increase of $10 million for Title X funding with the bulk of those taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood.  The omnibus bill also gave $103 million to international “family planning” organizations, in effect forcing the American taxpayer to indirectly promote and fund abortions abroad.

·         Rep. Schauer has a 100% rating with the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) as well as receiving their endorsement for the upcoming election.

Tim Walberg is a solid conservative leader who has worked in the Congress on pro-life and pro-family issues, promoting economic growth, and immigration reform.

“Concerned Women Political Action Committee endorses Tim Walberg because from day one, he will be an experienced conservative voice,” said Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women Political Action Committee.

”Congressman Tim Walberg has already proven himself once to be a champion for conservatism.  We are going to need members of Congress like Tim who will work to repeal the government takeover of health care.”

Penny Nance and Concerned Women Political Action Committee’s mission is to elect solid pro-family, pro-life conservatives to Congress.  Concerned Women PAC sends out a monthly letter to members encouraging them to financially support candidates like Tim Walberg.
