Charles Lollar Endorsed

Concerned Women Political Action Committee endorses Charles Lollar for Congress in Maryland’s 5th Congressional District

Charles Lollar is stepping up to the challenge to take on liberal Congressman Steny Hoyer

Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC)  has announced its endorsement of Charles Lollar for Congress in Maryland’s 5th Congressional District.

Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by founder and chairman Mrs. Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.

Rep. Steny Hoyer is the congressman for Maryland’s 5th District.  He is running for his 16th term in Congress.  Mr. Hoyer’s rating with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) is poor, having voted against the CWALAC position over 100 times in his 30 year career.

·         Rep. Hoyer recently voted against the Stupak Amendment which would have prohibited coverage for abortions by insurance companies.

·         He also voted in favor of the over all government take-over of health care, which many predict will leave our children with even more debt while causing our insurance premiums to sky rocket long term.

·         Earlier this month, Mr. Hoyer voted in favor of the omnibus bill which included an increase of $10 million for Title X funding, with the bulk of those taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood.  The omnibus bill also gave $103 million to international “family planning” organizations, in effect forcing the American taxpayer to indirectly promote and fund abortions abroad.

Mr. Hoyer’s liberal record has also included multiple votes in favor of so-called hate
crimes, destructive embryonic stem cell research, and has voted for government bail outs.

“Charles Lollar is the right person to go up against liberal Congressman Steny Hoyer” said Penny Nance, CEO of Concerned Women PAC

“Steny Hoyer and the Nancy Pelosi agenda have put our country in danger both fiscally and morally.   His many liberal votes put him at odds with the values of his district.

Charles Lollar will vote in Congress to protect unborn life in and be a strong voice for the American family and the people of Maryland’s 5th District.

Mrs. Penny Nance and Concerned Women Political Action Committee’s mission is to elect solid pro-family, pro-life conservatives to Congress.  Concerned Women PAC sends out a monthly letter to members encouraging them to financially support candidates like Charles Lollar.  For more information on this race or to set up an interview with Mrs. Nance, please contact Mike Mears at 202-408-4941.
