Washington, D.C. – Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) has announced its endorsement of conservative Star Parker in her campaign for Congress in California’s 37th District.
Concerned Women PAC, established in 2002 by Founder and Chairman Beverly LaHaye, is affiliated with Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with more than 500,000 grassroots members nationwide.
Laura Richardson has held California’s 37th Congressional District since 2007. During this time period Rep. Richardson has voted against the Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee position twenty-two times. Rep. Richardson last voted with CWALAC in 2008. Rep. Richardson is an avid supporter of government spending and big ticket liberal legislation. Rep. Richardson voted for “healthcare”, bailout, and the repeal of “Don’t ask, don’t tell”.
Star Parker is a dynamic social activist. Star Parker is the founder and president of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) which is a non-profit organization to fight poverty. Mrs. Parker is in high demand as a consultant and is considered a national expert on the topic of social policy. Mrs. Parker has been actively involved in conservative activism since 1992.
Star Parker and her late husband have one child and one grandchild.
